After reading all of lesson one, my answer to your question is Biblical Egyptology offers something to everyone who is willing to study it. I do feel welcomed.
There was a lot of material in the lesson. I must admit toward the end of the lesson, while eager to learn more about the 12th, 17th , 18th, and 19th dynasties, I was glad that we will see that the information will be expanded in future lessons.
Listing the dynasties and the sources for the Kings lists was informative. However, I found the lesson’s critique of the chronology of the Exodus to be very enlightening. For me, it seem to present a very good reason as to why this course exists. I look forward to the future lessons.
